2016 'Of Then and Beyond...'A Steampunk Fashion Show
Enchanted City announces this years kick off event, in collaboration with 2440 Design Studio (Founders of Electric City Couture), a two day fashion extraveganza! This themed runway show will feature steam punk couture. Designers will include ‘As They Sew in France’ (Atlanta, GA), ‘Redfield Design’ (Windsor, CT) and ‘Revive Gifts’ (Edgewater, CO). Friday night will be a traditional runway show held at the Troy Public Library amongst the marble, cast iron and Tiffany Glass windows of this amazing 1897 building designed by the New York City architectural firm of J. Stewart Barney and Henry Otis Chapman Architects. The TPL is currently raising funds to help restore this amazing historic structure. Saturday, as part of the Mini Maker Faire co-sponsored by the Tech Valley Center of Gravity, fabric based designers will have a full retail store for a buy it off the runway experience on Saturday in a retail pop up shop located at the Tech Valley Center of Gravity. Additional fashion based demonstrations and workshops to be announced.
