2017 Show Theme : IDENTITY

"IDENTITY is currently such a divisive subject, I felt compelled to explore it. By staging it in the New York Metropolis section of the NYS Museum, we are able to deepen the concept of identity as a reverberating theme with a story that contextually ties into the history of the State of New York, which is the primary focus of our represented designer studios, ateliers and production facilities.” Corey AldrichProducer at Electric City Couture

The goal is to encourage and highlight the unique expression of personal and regional identity, all the while, promoting the support of designers that are creting ‘A Makers Movement in America.’

The Aesthetic Element : An Urban Cityscape

By staging the event in the New York Metropolis section of the NYS Museum, we highlight the history of the state of NY. History and architecture is the foundation of the identity of place. Models will wander through the streets of old NY City, past the shops of yesteryear including a garment shop, tailor shop and a 5th Avenue restaurant.
